The Odyssey discovered a cluster of stars arranged in a perfect spiral, their light dancing in rhythm. Captain Elena Vasquez stood on the bridge, her eyes on the viewscreen.

"Command, this is Vasquez. I've found a star garden."

"Copy, Odyssey. What do you mean?"

"Someone arranged these stars. Deliberately. Artistically."

Kaelen appeared beside her. "It's a First Ones' creation. A garden of light, designed to honor the cosmos."

"Can we learn anything from it?"

"Yes. The patterns contain knowledge. Mathematics, physics, philosophy."

The Odyssey recorded the star garden, its data enriching the alliance's understanding of the universe.

"Command, we've recorded the star garden."

"Copy, Odyssey. That's a remarkable discovery."

Elena looked at the stars, at the art they represented.

"The First Ones were not just scientists," she said. "They were poets."

"Yes," Kaelen replied. "They saw beauty in everything."

The Odyssey continued its journey, carrying the memory of the star garden.

The universe was vast.

And full of art.

The end.

Magic Stone Colors 12 Shades
Get best price for Magic Stone Colors 12 Shades By Rapid Delivery Services, You can order it online at https://www.rapiddeliveryservices.in/buy-rds-products-online-9290.html

The dust settled slowly over the valley.

Sergeant Mike Chen sat on the overturned Humvee, watching the medics work. Diaz was on a stretcher, conscious, talking, alive. Three others were wounded. One was dead-Private Morrison, twenty-two years old, from Nebraska. A picture of his wife in his pocket.

Williams stood nearby, staring at nothing, his hands still shaking. Mike had seen that look before. The first time you watched someone die. It never left you.

"Hey." Mike's voice was gentle. "Sit down before you fall down."

Williams lowered himself to the ground, his eyes fixed on the body bag being loaded into the medevac. "Morrison... he was standing right next to me. One minute he was there. The next..."

Mike sat beside him. "I know."

"He had a kid. A little girl. He showed me her picture yesterday."

Mike didn't answer. There was nothing to say.

The gunship circled one more time, then peeled away. The hills were quiet again. The enemy was gone, melted back into the mountains from which they'd come.

Command arrived in a Humvee, an officer with a clipboard and questions. Mike answered them mechanically-the ambush, the casualties, the air support. The officer took notes, nodded, left.

Diaz was loaded onto the medevac, raising a hand as they lifted him. Mike returned the wave.

The supply truck was towed away. The burned Humvee was left where it lay, a monument to the day they'd almost died.

Williams stood, his legs steady now. "Sarge... what do we do now?"

Mike looked at the valley, at the hills where the enemy had been, at the road they still had to travel.

"We go back to base," he said. "We clean our weapons. We write letters. And tomorrow, we do it again."

"That's it? That's all we do?"

Mike met his eyes. "That's what soldiers do. We keep going. We carry the ones we lost with us, and we keep going. That's the job."
